Models, either male or female, act as props for the display of fashion items such as dresses, jewellery, fashion accessories and the like. Modelling can be subdivided into two types called fashion modelling and commercial modelling. Fashion modelling is an inevitable and intrinsic part of the fashion clothing industry. Leading designers take the help of fashion models to walk the ramp in fashion and modelling shows in order to display their fashion collections. Fashion models come in handy when they are used for photo shoots. These kinds of assignments require these models to show certain emotions and feelings through their body language and face. So, it can be said that fashion models need to have a little amount of acting skills as well. And, it is not uncommon for famous fashion models to use their modelling career as just a stepping stone to a full fledged acting career. High fashion models and commercial models consist of a regular crop of top models that happen from time to time. Several of the top models have specialized in high fashion modeling. But the myth of the fashion industry and the career profile given to the public have often little to do with the reality. Today the fashion industry consists of more than only beautiful dresses and creative talent for lasting success. The challenge the designers face lies in viewing the business in its entirety and the difficult balance between design and commerce. Nowa- days, brands pre-define themselves through lifestyle and world experience. To be successful in the fashion market it requires founded knowledge over strategic marketing, sales strategies, PR and production.
Since 2009 the Berlin platform Fashion Patrons, has organised a Fashion & Design Academy with the goal of offering further training and a well-balanced and versatile programme in order to pave the difficult way of starting a company. Covering themes such as business and market-relevant processes, the present conditions of the fashion industry, future development as well as new communication concepts and strategies.

The dress looks shop bought up close so we wanted a photo of simular quality that kept the emphesis on the dress and that also keep in the knitted and stary theme. The post production work on this was around 7 hours but well worth it =]
