Proms are special occasions when you want to be the center of attention. The right prom hairstyle can enhance one’s appearance enormously. However, selecting the right hairstyle for a prom can be confusing. There are many factors to consider before asking one’s hair-stylist to transform one’s hair. One has to keep in mind one’s hair length, texture, hair-type, facial shape and complexion to pick the right prom hairdo. There are additional aspects like the prom dress (its neckline and length) and accessories that need consideration. The latest prom hairstyles (2009) are a colorful fashion statement encompassing an entire array of different kinds of hairdos – both classy and chic.
Prom Hairstyles For Long And Straight Hair
Long and straight hair, when arranged in the right manner can do wonders for a prom look. But classic hairstyles and prom updos are evergreen and popular today. A ‘classic Chignon’ is an ideal prom choice provided one has medium or long straight hair. It looks graceful and sophisticated and goes well with an elegant prom gown. People who want a slightly more causal prom look can opt for side-swept bangs, loose and wavy bangs and a ‘half up/half down’ hairdo. When it comes to ‘bangs,’ one hairdo that stands out in 2009 prom hairstyles is the ‘sassy-messy updo.’ It provides a carefree, unfussy look and appears beautiful at the same time. The long side-swept bangs can be streaked with a tinge of hair color. The hair side-sections can be rolled back and arranged loosely so that they emerge like a cluster of silky hair-hoops. Side-parted hairstyles along with proper hair accessories can really highlight the best features of straight and silky textured hair.
Prom Hairstyles For Curly Hair
Curly hair has a different appeal altogether. When adorned with the perfect hairdo, it can look amazingly sensual and attractive. ‘Pinned-up ringlets’ is an all-time favorite prom hair-do. It is a prominent choice among the 2009 curly prom hairstyles. In this style one’s curls are basically pinned from the crown of one’s head to drop down seductively to one’s lower neck and shoulders. Hair accessories like small crowns go very well along with this style. For shorter curls, one can opt for a ‘tousled-curl’ style that looks refined and classy.
Prom Hairstyles For Short Hair
Several new trends are doing rounds for short prom hairstyles this year. Popular among them are ‘short-braids’ and ‘bob or blunt-cuts’ and ‘pixie’ styles. By and large, a ‘pixie’ hairstyle is being flaunted by most women in current prom parties. It is funky, cool and hip at the same time. ‘Blunt fringe’ cut is yet another hairdo that is being tried frequently. Depending on one’s skin complexion, these cuts can have a splendid effect especially on ash-blonde hair color.
However, it is always advisable to get in touch with a good hair-expert prior to any type of experimentation.
Ok, just watch and see what a Downy Sheet can do.

Number one: Learn how to sketch. Be honest with yourself about your ability to sketch and your eye for design and detail. If you feel like you don’t have enough skill to draw, then you can enrol yourself in an art school and improve your drawing and sketching skills.
Number two: Obtain a two-year or four-year degree in fashion design. This will help increase your chances for success. Many places have public colleges or trade schools with excellent fashion training. Research it. You can even ask your high school guidance counselor for a list of well-known fashion design schools. Expect to show samples of your sketches as part of your application.
Number three: Take as many marketing and business courses as possible, in addition to design courses. Knowledge of the business end of the fashion industry is vital to your career. Number four: When you graduate, you should have a portfolio of your best work. Usually these illustrations are of the one category that you are interested in finding a job in. A good portfolio will sometimes have sample garments too. Also, it must show how creative you are and convince potential employers that you would be an asset to their business.
Number five: Set up an internship as quickly as possible. You will gain valuable experience, and it might lead to your first job after graduation. An internship in Paris or at a design house in NYC would be a fantastic opportunity.

2000 grafts

Image by Hairtransplant – Ilter clinic photostream
The client had lost most of his hair. He wanted to regain a hairstyle that suited his age, with as much density as possible during a single session. It was important for him to vary his hairstyle in the future, so he did not want to suffer from a visible scar if he cut his hair short.
Dr Ilter: It is important to create a strong and natural hairline as well as a dense fringe when trying to achieve a balanced hairstyle. We achieved this using 2,000 grafts, positioning them properly and strategically.
Thin hair is most often hereditary or is a result of lack of proper nutrition or moisture. Often people consider their hair thin, when in actuality they suffer from thinning – giving the hair a thin and often unmanageable properties.
There are medical treatments that may be appropriate, including Rogaine and other medicines and surgical approaches like hair replacement, natural treatments such as various herbs and applying olive oil to the scalp, and these may help.
The most important thing to know is that with thinning hair, the right hairstyle is essential. You can’t just choose any hairstyle that others can who don’t have thinning hair, but there are still a lot of options open to you. Take some time to do your own research about different hairstyles for thinning hair or talk to a professional stylist.
You also need to make sure and choose a good conditioner for your hair to give it the appearance of more fullness. Choose a light conditioner that will not weigh your hair down. A great conditioner and shampoo with help control frizz and fly aways while still leaving your hair light and dynamic. If your hair is damaged or dry, use a deep conditioning treatment formulated for thin hair.
You’re not alone in your search for what is best product for thinning hair. In the United States alone, 21 million women and 35 million men struggle with this condition. Naturally this problem has spawned an industry that churns out “miracle cures” aiming to suck you in and take your hard-earned cash.
As a woman, it is not as easy to find the best hairstyles to compliment their thin or fine hair. Short hairstyles are known for taking the attention away from your hair and back to your face. This makes the shorter lengths, about chin length or slightly longer, your best choice for appropriate length. The side swept bangs are very popular for 2008 and they are perfect for thinning hair because they bring attention to your face and add a bit of volume to your hair cut at the same time.
Women with thin hair should use short hairstyle, which is about chin length, or a little longer. Short hairstyles are sometimes considered better for women, as short hairstyles divert attention from the hair to the face, like hairstyles with hair bangs covering the face or light curls at the end or behind the ears. With these hairstyles, your hair is kept together to look thicker and fuller. Updo or braids go well with thinning hair, as updos camouflage thin hair.
People who don’t like short hairstyles or are attached to their long hair have some other styles to choose from. Hairstyles that allows you to pull up your hair can look great and hide the thinning. Braiding is also a good option.Thinning hair in most men is caused by several factors where a shampoo can help. While not a panacea for hereditary loss or disease, many shampoos can neutralize thinning and improve your appearance either by thickening thin hair or restoring growth.
You are not encouraged to sit back and let your hair fall out. Rather, today’s help is just as readily available for women as it is for men.

So let me tell you about Mark, my friend, co-worker and supervisor.
Living close enough to work, he eschews buying a parking permit, choosing instead to walk. Normally this works out well, save for inclement weather.
One issue, though, is that shoes one walks in are not the best shoes to wear with dressy clothes. Having to deal with administration and committees means that Mark has to look nice (unlike slacker programmers like myself, who do not venture out of our holes). This leads to Mark keeping a pair of shiny dress shoes at the office and doing the "Mr. Rogers" thing when he arrives for work.
Well, we’re moving offices, and found ourselves doing hard labor. Mark found that though the jeans and t-shirt he wore were adequate for work, the sandals that he came to work in were not. Thus, there was only one option.
So here it is, the new fashion craze. Rolled up jeans with shiny black dress shoes. When all the cool kids are doing it, you’ll know where you saw it first.
People have the craziest of fashions from rings to coins to stamps to clothes to purses to shoes! Give women an open hand and they’ll run wild and free. Shoes have been one of the most consistent passions and craze, the women specifically!
But then, if you categorize yourself as one of those shoe-fanatics, you will agree to this: not all times do you get what you want! Right? Well, its quite normal for tastes and preferences vary in such a number that it practically cannot be designed and replicated in millions! So, what do you do? Do you just give up and compromise with what is available? NO!
Custom your own shoes
Like we have fashion designers, you could be your own shoe designer! Yes, you read that right. You can create your own shoes according to your preferences and tastes, colors and shape, toe point and heel size, texture and gradient! There are a number of websites online where you can design your shoe and get it ordered only for you, such as the milkandhoneyshoes.com!
Your shoe pattern is uniquely yours at the end of the day. While you flaunt your exceptional shoe, your enviers might be hunting for a better pattern! And by the time they get to that, you already have another set of first-rate, super adorable shoes custom made only for you.
How do you go about it?
Well, that’s simple. You don’t have to be a great designer for your own custom shoes! All one needs to know is what type of shoe suits your feet, what shoe type is missing from the shelf, which dress lacks a matching shoe and whether you have been looking out for something exquisite and exclusive! Then, you reach out to the website and with the help of their designing tools, you can animate your shoe with every precise detail.
Detailing would include the toe shape, toe add-ons, the embellishment, the heel size, the strap, the back, piping and trimming, etc and once you are doing that, the price appears below and you add it to your cart! Your order is placed and it reaches you in about 6 to 8 weeks. You would actually enjoy designing your custom shoes!
It’s really simple to have your own shoes
While you are absorbing the possibility of flaunting your own designed shoes, a couple of queries might run through the mind. For one, your ordered designed shoes can be shipped to you anywhere and everywhere. The other biggest question that might seep into you is how do you decide the shoe size? Well, for that, know your foot size and keep certain considerations in mind such as flats can be ordered a half size more, a platform could go a half-size down, a pointy shoe could go a half size down and etc.
If you are a bride, there is an array of collection with them and if you don’t like any of them, you can order it, design it or even request them to design something special for your special day! When you are so passionate about the shoe you wear, it is better to create your own shoes and for that, the sky is the limit! Try now!

I enjoy ‘window captures’, and am always fascinated by the latest fashion trends and evolutions (or devolution) of taste.
Trends in eyeglasses may seem as though they change more often than your prescription. If you are in the market for new glasses, here are some of the things you need to know about recent trends.
Big Is in, but Only Sometimes
Big frames are in style right now, but only for sunglasses. What does this mean for you as you shop for new eyeglasses? You may consider splurging for prescription sunglasses with big, bold frames. These protect your eyes well and add that ‘Hollywood’ flair to your overall look.
Thick Frames Are All the Rage
Look at a picture of your relatives from the 70s, and you will notice that they wore thick, boxy, plastic frames. Today’s glasses take a modern spin on this style. The lenses are smaller and rectangular in shape, but the thick, dark frames are definitely in, creating a sort of ‘geek chic’ look. In addition, colored plastic frames are in style, and many people are enjoying coordinating their glasses to match their outfits. Imagine donning a pair of pink glasses with your favorite pink blouse, and then trading them for a blue pair for that evening dress you own.
John Lennon Inspired Frames
Completely round glasses, such as those often worn by John Lennon, are also popular right now. Again, the frames are usually plastic, and they come in a variety of fashionable colors and patterns. Tortoiseshell is one option for those that want a little bit of color in their specs.
Rimless Glasses
Believe it or not, you can now buy glasses that have no rims. These have a noseband and some decoration on the earpieces, but there is nothing surrounding the lens. They can make quite a statement and draw attention to your eyes, rather than to your glasses.
Classic Styles Always Work
Thin, metal rims surrounding a lens shape that fits your face, whether circular, oval, or even square, are almost always an option. You can buy designer frames in these styles, and you will know that your glasses will match just about any outfit you may be wearing. Sometimes less is more, and these understated glasses will be fashionable for many years, help draw attention to your eyes, not your glasses, and work well in corporate America.
Don’t Forget Your Face Shape
Wearing the latest trends is great, but only if they look good on you. Everyone has a unique face shape, and some frames will not look good on you. First think about the position of your eyes on your face. Make sure that your eyes fall within the center of the frames you are looking to buy. Also, consider your face’s width. You should only have a small space between the edge of the frames and the side of your face.
Your eyebrow is another consideration. Never buy glasses that cross your brow line, and make sure that they are either quite a bit below or above your brows. Choose lenses that fit the proportions of your body as well. If you are slender and short, thick, bulky glasses are going to look out of place on your face.
The Bottom Line
While you may think you know what type of glasses you want and what latest trend you wish to wear, you cannot truly know what glasses will look great on you until you try them on. If you are going to order glasses online, visit a store so that you can try on several different styles and find the one that fits your face shape well before you order online. When you put on a pair of glasses that is trendy and looks good on you, you will know that they are the perfect pair the moment you look in the mirror!

what’s the latest trends??
It is a fact that fashion trends keep on changing and with it wardrobe also needs to be renovated. Fashion trends are like weather that come and go and each time bring with it a new wave of joy. Matching pace with changing fashion trend is important. But is it really true and possible? Every one of us like to walk with latest fashion trends, sometime with leggings, then ripped leggings and what not. But is it really worth?
In this time of ever changing world and technology, increasing rate of daily grocery items, does our conscious allow us to just spend haphazardly on upcoming fashion trend that is going to become stale in just a few days. If that’s what you are also thinking then it means all these questions popping up in my mind are very right.
We are slowly and steadily becoming fashion slave. Whatever is shown on runway and gets good response and comments from critics becomes latest fashion trend. But at the end of the day, we are the one who are going to make it successful by purchasing it and donning it on fashion streets. Just think for a moment, if designer dresses and fashion jewelry shown on runway are not bought by us then how it will become latest fashion trend.
So ultimately, it is us who are the reason behind making and breaking fashion trends. In fact, most important place to get note of what’s in fashion and what’s not are the ‘Streets’. Street fashion is getting popularity these days as it is cool, casual and comfy. It denotes which fashion trend shown on runway has the power to rock the nation. Even designers make it a point to hunt in streets for what people are actually wearing, because their designs are not only meant for celebrities but for the common people too.
So we are not fashion slaves, we are actually people who give boost to fashion trends. There’s no need to buy designer clothes every time for a formal occasion. Even a simple dress can do wonder if it is worn with confidence. Brand is important but for comfort only. All we need to do is to be smart while choosing the style and fashion in clothes, jewelry, shoes and everything that we actually think is really cool.
Best way to do that is to go through different sites, join fashion community, see what models actually wear on streets, what is celebrities’ style statement, when they are casually moving with their friends and family. People generally like to wear those fashion trends that celebrities prefer to wear or flaunt at red carpet events and movie premieres. It’s difficult to deny this fact that celebrities are trendsetters but donning own fashion trend that suits one’s personality is more important as it boost up the confidence of person.
Be up to date about latest fashion trends but choose one that doesn’t hamper your budget or your savings. Nowadays, coupons have emerged as best way of shopping for daily grocery items and even designer dresses. Variety of sites offer good deals and online coupons on designer pieces too.
e-commercial sites of stores like Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Macys, Bloomingdales and others provide special discounts and offers for their online customers. This makes doing shopping for latest fashion trends, an easy and savvy affair. So, why not take advantage of these sites in place of just watching a latest collection and going for it to purchase at the store, without being assured about whether it will suit your style or not.
So be Smart, Stylish and Savvy!!
