I was recently invited by my buddy, fashion photographer extraordinaire Jeremiah Wilson, to visit one his fashion shoots. He was shooting a campaign for Steve Madden shoes at Poly Prep in Brooklyn. I went down to pay Jeremiah a visit, and decided to shoot some photos of my own, and interview Jeremiah for one the publications I write for. I thought a ‘behind the scenes’ of a fashion shoot piece would be interesting to work on, and it turned out that way. I had a blast doing both. Some of mt photos came out great, but I was cheating. Jeremiah was the one who set up models, shots nd lighting. I just stood back and pressed the shutter. August 5, 2010, Bay Rideg Brooklyn. Celebrity hairstyles have always influenced the way that the rest of the country looks, acts, and dresses. Before movies, celebrities were much less in the public eye than they are today. Usually the celebrities dressed and styled their hair in the way that fashion designers modeled on fashion plates and in magazines. However, with the invention of movies, all of that changed.

Hairstyles in the early days of movies

The early days of movies saw a shift from people entertaining themselves at home to entertaining themselves at the movie theater. The celebrity hairstyles were full of glamour and style. Hair was twisted and puffed and slicked into unnatural positions and styles. It was considered poor taste to have natural-looking hair. Even though movies were popular from the 1920s to 1940s, movie stars still dressed and acted like high society individuals. Individualism had not yet emerged. The hairstyles of celebrities were still similar to that of the styles worn by every one during formal occasions.

Hairstyles from the 50’s and 60’s

The 50’s and 60’s marked a change in the way movies were made and how celebrities dressed their hair. Music became a sub-culture like it never was before. This brought in the individualism from musicians which had an impact on how both famous and non-famous people wore their hair. However, there was still an emphasis on the right shape and style even for celebrity hairstyles.

Hairstyles from 1970s and 1980s

During this time, celebrity hairstyles began to differ from one another. Men grew their hair long, or kept it very short. Women were able to wear straight or curly hair. It was popular to have a somewhat wild appearance to the hair. The hairstyles reflected the feeling of rebellion that pervaded that time in history. The mullet, large perm, and feathered hair were all hairstyles popular during this time.

Hairstyles from 1990s

After the rebellion in the 70’s and 80’s, society calmed down somewhat. They got down to business in the 90’s. Men began to wear their hair shorter again, and they almost eliminated the curl for men altogether. Women tamed their unruly perms and cut them short into business-appropriate bobs. Bangs were very popular among celebrities during this time.

Modern hairstyles

Today celebrity hairstyles vary drastically. There is a feeling of anything goes in Hollywood, and it shows in clothing choices and hairstyle choices of the stars. In some cases, popular hairstyles are adapted from famous political figures as well.  The natural look for hair is very important. Even if a style takes hours to arrange, it is arranged to look as natural as possible. Every celebrity’s individual beauty is celebrated. This freedom is apparent in the styles of society in general as well.

Fairytale Fashion

Diana Eng: As a fashion designer who works with science and technology, I’ve learned about some really amazing things. I’ve had some great experiences as a designer: sitting front row at fashion week, working at various fashion companies, researching at the University of Bath Mechanical Engineering Dept., being a designer on Project Runway, working in Victoriai’s Secret Research and Development department, and co-founding NYC Resistor hacker group. When I was a little girl, I wish that my friends and I knew about some of the things I know today. We would have loved to play with them. Dress-up with super sparkling LED’s. Imagining worlds made of deployable structures. I want to share all of the neat things I’ve learned, because no matter what your age, science and technology are always fun to play with.

You may not be able to sew or solder or draft a pattern or program a microcontroller. But that’s okay because Fairytale Fashion is about imagining the possibilities. I will be trying my best to make them happen.

Fairytale Fashion is produced with the support of Eyebeam.

Despite the fact that there are tons of magazines and shows that offer a glimpse at the newest teen fashions, we don’t always hear a lot about the actual teen fashion designers themselves. In reality, teens are a huge buyer of the latest fashion trends, so it seems surprising that more of them are not getting directly involved in the actual fashion design process.

Of course, we do hear about some of the more famous teen designers. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, for example, have focused their creativity on building a fashion empire. They currently have a few different clothing lines, including one called “Elizabeth and James” after their siblings. The Olsen twins had a bit of a head start with their business, since they were already famous and had plenty of money to back them up. But what about aspiring teen fashion designers who don’t have the same advantages?

There are some things that those interested in teen fashions can do in order to improve their chances for success. First of all, learning how to get your designs out of your head and out into the world is a really important step. Products like Digital Fashion Pro can help you do just that. This particular tool helps the teen fashion designer to see what his or her designs will truly look like, and the options available with the software mean that you’ll be able to learn more and more with every new creation you put together.

Just putting your designs on paper isn’t going to be enough to ensure your success, so one of the next steps that you should take is to get familiar with a sewing machine. This means learning to sew, as well as getting a good understanding of the fabrics you need to use to create your teen fashions. Your best method for sharing the designs once you’ve put them together is to actually wear them yourself. This gives others a chance to see what you can do and to get a feel for your unique style.

Personal expression is so important, and if you have the desire to become one of the most well-known famous teen designers, then showing off your style is the best way to let people know who you truly are. You will likely find that people start approaching you and asking where you got your amazing clothes. They’ll be blown away when they discover that you created them yourself using information you learned at Startingaclothingline.com.

The next step would be to start selling your designs to your classmates and teachers, or even to plan your own fashion show as a fundraiser. You can help bring in money for a good cause while generating interest for your own teen fashions. The Olsen twins and all those other famous teen designers may need to watch out for you!

Run to the Sun is an Anchorage business for woman’s clothing and also tanning. They had a fashion show at the Woman’s Show in Anchorage, Alaska in April 2010. The show is pretty good but the lighting at the Sullivan Arena is absolutely horrible – like something out of a bomb shelter. Hopefully these photos aren’t too bad. I met several of the models and shot with them at separate photo shoots – but it will take some time to post those photos.

Setting up your own business is not as easy as it sounds. There are a lot of things which you have to take care of before you can actually open shop. If you want to venture into clothing retail or wholesale, you have to keep in mind certain considerations. For one, you need to decide whether you would want to sell men’s or women’s clothing. You also have to decide whether you would want to offer fashionable clothing or simple tees. If you go for the former, you have to be aware that your clothing supplies should be of the latest trend. This way, you will not lose your customers to other stores which sell chic apparel.

It is possible for you not to spend much if you want to stock your clothing boutique with trendy designer clothes. The main reason for this is the emergence of fashion wholesale suppliers. If you are looking for stylish yet affordable clothes, opt for Hong Kong fashion apparel or Japan & Korea fashion clothing. There are a lot of clothing suppliers which sell this style of garments. One of these is Asianfashion4u.com, which is a clothing wholesale manufacturer from Hong Kong. This company is a wholesale online shopping mall, allowing you to shop for its wholesale Korea style fashion clothes over the Internet. Compared to the traditional way of buying clothing supplies, shopping online is more convenient. This is due to the fact that you can do your ordering even in your own home.

If your boutique is located in the United Kingdom, you can still shop for wholesale women clothing at Asianfashion4u.com. This Korea fashion online store markets its products internationally, exporting wholesale women’s apparel to wholesalers and retailers from all over the world. When you order clothing supplies in bulk, you will get to shop for clothing wholesale at discounted prices. The economic cost of Asianfashion4u.com’s wholesale fashion cloth allows you to save huge amount of cash. You should not let this opportunity pass if you want to earn big returns.

You can buy cheap ladies wholesale clothing at Asianfashion4u.com and still get the best out of your money. Not all affordable garments are made from weak fabrics. What is more, the designs and styles of its cheap junior wholesale clothing or wholesale women clothing are not outdated. The fabrics of the clothes that are sold at Asianfashion4u.com are good. Most importantly, its styles are charming and unique. When it comes to your selections, you have thousands of options to choose from. You can take a pick from wholesale dresses, blouses, skirts, pants, jackets, and accessories.

Before the age of famous people for example celebrities, clothes and fashion was inspired by hard working individuals that had creative minds and innovative thinking. They were the true designers who often worked long hours and late into the evening before they broke through the fashion industry. We know many famous fashion designers who started their fashion clothing brand from the back of the room with a sewing machine and few meters of clothes and these are the true so inspired fashion designers not some one that cant sing in front on thousands of people and cant even dress properly or appropriately for that matter.

We’ve seen many high profile celebrities starting a clothing fashion brand thinking that they will be successful but after a few months after the so called their own thinking of being creative stops then they can’t bring in new ideas in to the market and that’s why a lot of celebrities fashion brands disappears after a few months after their big launch parties.

How ever celebrities inspired clothing such as a plain t shirt with a famous picture of celebrity with printed on black and white ink and t shirt looks very classy and if that person was from the old and retro old school days then that black and white t shirt looks very good and that’s why sales to do with retro and celebrities looks great and sells very good too.

When celebrities or even when famous people say a word especially a catchy phrase like “Yes We Can” these short words gets printed on t shirts like wild fire. Companies will tend to focus on latest events like elections, parties or seasonal events to think of slogans and images to print on the clothes and t shirts.

Why you may ask?

Well the simple question is because they will have an audience that they need to cater for like their fans and their fans look up to their fashion brand to bring them fresh new slogans so that they themselves can be up to date with local events. Also if it’s a funny slogan then they want to buy the t shirt so that they are the person that people laugh with, which can make some people very popular indeed.

People want to wear funny slogans or images printed of their celebrity to show true devotion as some people think their celebrities to be their religion and god in some cases. Fashion clothes tend not to last very long compared to other clothes that you can find in non fashion clothes retail shop, this is because it’s a trend that people buy one part of the fashion and then quickly buy another part of a different fashion. Ladies especially want to be known individually for wearing the very best and the very expensive so that they can show off to other people and this gives a high status of themselves, or at least that’s what they think any way.

So now you know why celebrities start fashion brands and fail in some cases and why people would wear celebrity inspired fashion clothes.
